Story:
"Tubelight" is a story about Laxman Singh Bisht (Salman Khan), who is otherwise called Tubelight because of his moderate sensibilities. Laxman loves his more youthful sibling Bharat Singh Bisht (Sohail Khan). Bharat joins the armed force and sets out on India-China border.
War emits between both the nations because of which Laxman is stressed over his sibling. Laxman continues seeking and asking after the health of Bharat. On direction of Baney Chacha (Om Puri), Laxman begins following the lessons of Mahatma Gandhi, so he can expand his expectation remainder.
In this process, he gets to know an Indian born Chinese child Guhu (Matin Rey) and his mom Lee Ling (Zhu). The profound conviction inside Laxman's heart continues developing, prompting something inconceivable towards the peak of the film.
What Good:
Salman's acting in the last scene, SRK's cameo, the additional sweet Matin, camerawork, the tunes Main Agar and Kintu Parantu.
What Bad:
Weak in script, predictable climax, lack of emotional connect.
Performance:
Salman puts up a nice performance but this is surely not one of his best. His chemistry with real life brother Sohail is charming. Salman’s act in the last scene to bring a comatose person to sense, reminded me of Kamal Haasan’s act in Sadma to make Sridevi remember him.
Sohail Khan pulls off a normal performance. The lack of expressions on his face is noticeable.
Shah Rukh Khan exceeds expectations in his cameo and I might want to specify his cosmetics artiste Arun Indulkar for the splendid cosmetics! Yes, you would not have any desire to take your eyes off him in those 8-10 minutes!
Late actor Om Puri delivers a nice performance.
Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Brijendra Kala are good actors but the script fails to utilize them properly.
Yashpal Sharma is impressive as the army Major.
Child actor Matin Ray Tangu is extremely cute and talented and you wouldn’t want to take your eyes off him but then he doesn’t have much to do in the film. The same goes for the pretty Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, who makes her Bollywood debut with this film.
