SBI has said that as a careful step it has hauled out a couple of hundred passbook printers running on windows to introduce a security fix. These printers are being operationalised quickly when the update is finished.

With several passbook printers not working there have been rumors that a branch has been infected with the WannaCry malware which locks out users from their system and demands a ransom for the release.

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team


The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) on Monday had said that it had not gotten any formal report of a digital assault on Indian systems by WannaCry. 

The office said that it is in contact with Microsoft, whose Windows working framework is broadly utilized by government and business, and has not known about any reports of any Indian incident from the software giant.
