API CET 2016 is the Integrated Common Entrance Test for confirmation into MBA and MCA customary Courses offered by State Universities and Professional Colleges under the Jurisdiction of A.P State Council of Higher Education for the scholastic year 2016-17. The APICET-2016 will be led by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam for the benefit of APSCHE. The Office of the Convener, APICET-2016 is situated in Andhra University Campus.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) appeared w.e.f. 20.05.1988 through Act 16 of 1988 to exhort the Government in matters identifying with Higher Education in the State and to manage its improvement with the point of view arranging and for matters associated therewith and accidental thereto.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, the first of its kind in the nation, is fundamentally an organizing body between the University Grants Commission (UGC), the State Government and the Universities. The Primary capacity of APSCHE is to arrange and facilitate all exercises identified with the improvement of advanced education in the state and advance quality gauges as per the rules of UGC now and again. The Council goes about as a counselor to the Government on matters identified with Higher Education. Prof. L. Venugopal Reddy is the Chairman of APSCHE. Prof. P. Vijaya Prakash and Prof. P. Narasimha Rao the Vice-Chairmans of the Council. Sri. T.V. Krishna Murthy is the Secretary (FAC) and Deputy Director of the Council.
